Upon graduating college in 2005, with a degree in fine arts, Kat immediately moved from New York to Los Angeles to begin her Career as a makeup artist, and is currently a member of IATSE local 706. Through out her career, Kat has worked in all facets of the makeup industry including beauty, bridal, runway, commercial, print, red carpet, character makeup, and special effects. Though she excels at beauty and fashion, her real passion lies in FX work. Kat is an experienced department head, but also loves keying and learning from more experienced artists.
Kat has worked extensively with the U.S. military doing moulage/casualty makeup for simulated live combat training on various bases across the United States. This is where she got her start in designing and creating her own prosthetics. She continued to hone her skills in fx shop work by learning from great artists at Academy Award winning special FX shop, Amalgamated Dynamics Inc.
